We are pleased to welcome back the ECO Chamber Ensemble in the first of our Palace Theatre Chamber Concerts.  At the centre of the programme stands Schubert’s poetic E flat Piano Trio.  The ravishing andante was used in the film Barry Linden and more recently as the theme music to the television series John Adams.  It is one of the great masterpieces of the chamber repertoire and for those who don’t know it, will be a wonderful discovery.  The concert finishes with the last of Brahms’ piano quartets, a grand and opulent chamber work that has made a great impression on audiences since it was composed in 1875.
